I am beyond grateful for this opportunity. It has been a journey. I am looking forward to another one that would provide my daughters and I life-changing doors to walk through. Thank you so very much!

I am so happy to be funded for my schooling, this makes me feel so much more confident that my family’s future is looking bright! I don’t know how to tell you how grateful I am but to assure you that you are in my prayers. May God bless you more and more!

Hey there! Just wanted to thank you and your foundation so so much for allowing me to go to school again. With your grant I was able to attend a four month intensive program at the Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver, and graduate with an 85%. Considering I have never been to school before, or applied myself academically before, this was a huge deal for me. I never knew what I was capable of, and never thought I would be able to achieve much because I did not come from a life or household with enough money to support my dreams. I want you to know that this entire experience has changed my life for the better, and now being out of school for less than three weeks I already have a full time job working in film catering, and another as a line cook working at a new restaurant in Vancouver.

I have incredibly high hopes for my future in culinary, and look forward to the challenges that will lie ahead of me in this field. I have never felt more passionate about any other line of work, and more sure that I have chosen the right career path for me. Thank you again, so so much for your support and allowing me this opportunity. It has meant the world to me.

Grad school was always my goal, but I had no idea how I could ever make it work financially as a single parent living paycheque to paycheque. Last year, a mentor encouraged me to just apply, and forget about the details and worries. I found a Master’s program that would be a good fit for a working parent. When I was accepted, I happily told my son that this was the beginning of something amazing for us.

Thanks to the Lobstick Foundation, I was able to commit to starting grad school. I’m now in my third term, and loving working hard at something that will provide my son and I with a secure and happy life. I want him to think of his mom as someone who didn’t let difficulties stop her from reaching her potential. I’ve learned that there is support out there from sources you may not even know about until you take the first step. I’ll always be grateful to the Lobstick Foundation for supporting my path.

As the first in my family to graduate from high school, I am grateful to the Lobstick Foundation for their support in helping me complete my Master’s degree and graduate certificate so I can go on to teach college and university students. I have focused my studies on eliminating barriers for students with learning disabilities or who don’t speak English as their first language, so that they have equal opportunities to succeed in their studies.

My family and I are very grateful for your assistance. Without a doubt I will work hard and make Lobstick Foundation proud. I will be sending through a copy of my  diploma as soon as it is available! Thank you once again.

I received the cheque from the Lobstick Foundation today, May 8th, 2021. When I screamed out of happiness, my child asked me the reason. I said some people care about our future, and it makes me feel grateful and happy. Thank you, Lobstick Foundation!

Thanks to the Lobstick Foundation I will be able to finish my undergraduate degree! They helped me when Covid-19 left me with zero job opportunities. The foundation took away my financial worries so I could focus on my studies and my future! Much appreciated!

I’m incredibly grateful to the lobstick foundation for their generosity and support as I pursue my academic endeavors.  The foundation is truly a gift to all women to help them reach their greatest potential. As a result, I will be able to create a better and brighter future for me and children.

When we do the best, we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another.

I wish to say thank you and that I’m humbled to find out my application was accepted. As an almost 40 year old, single mother, the thought of starting a new career after all the hardships I’ve faced the past year and a half is quite honestly, a bit scary. With this answered prayer I’ve been so graciously given, I will now be able to get the needed supplies and help fund my schooling which was a heavy weight on my shoulders. This will help me to continue to show my daughter that whatever life throws at you, hard work and perseverance pay off. I’m looking forward to this new start and from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. You may never truly know the effect this will have on my life, but please know I’ll be forever grateful.

I know I’ve already stated this to you, but I feel I need to repeat it here… I am so incredibly grateful for the support of the Lobstick Foundation, with my MBA program. I am fully immersed and learning lots. It’s hard work and I know it will be rewarding. Right now, I’m still trying to find my footing to balance work, life, and school. Basically, I don’t have much of a life these days! (no complaints here, though!)

“I started classes this week to begin the journey of obtaining a Masters degree in a topic of Education that is strongly needed in the education system, yet many educators are not familiar with. I wanted to become a better educator that can work towards building resilience and offering understanding for the marginalized kids in the education system. The funding I am receiving from Lobstick is an amazing relief as child care is expensive when I need to leave my child at home to attend classes.  I feel one step closer to achieving my full potential…It’s supportive organizations like Lobstick that make life better for single moms, while reassuring us that we are pursuing the right path and to keep going.”
