Wayne Braid

Wayne Braid

G.W. Wayne Braid is the former CEO/Secretary of The Society of Notaries Public of British Columbia, having served in that position for over 17 years, a professional self-governing organization whose members provide non-contentious legal services to the people of BC. Wayne was also the Executive Officer of The Notary Foundation of BC and CEO and Managing Director of the BC Notaries Captive Insurance Co.

He ran successful Autoplan and general insurance agencies in Terrace, Kitimat and  Stewart and was Chair of the Northern Insurance Brokers Association for many years and on the Board of the Insurance Brokers of British Columbia.

Senator in Jaycees and Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary are among his many community awards. He was also Coroner, Director of the BC Winter Games and Northern BC Winter Games, and an Elected  school trustee.

Wayne has been a Board member of the Lobstick Foundation since its inception and is currently the Chair of the Foundation.


Lisa Ehrlich

Lisa Ehrlich

Lisa moved to Sidney from Oregon when she met her future husband David Ehrlich. She came to work at Salvador Davis, while studying Business Administration at Camosun College. She continued her education for an additional two years at the University of British Columbia, completing the Notary Program. Lisa was awarded the prestigious Dr. Hoeter Award for highest marks in the province.

Lisa continues to work tirelessly to ensure her clients receive the best possible care and attention.

Lisa has extensive experience in conveyancing and mortgage documentation. She is especially thorough in dealing with first time home buyers and financing issues. Lisa practices with the most up to date technology and information systems. She is always keen to learn evolving and new areas of land registry through embracing technology.

Lisa’s professionalism and unwavering sense of fairness makes her an excellent board member.

Lisa lives in Sidney with her husband Dave and their two sons.


Cathleen Gracey

Cathleen Gracey

Cathleen, the great-niece of Dr. Margaret E. Nix, grew up with her aunt emphasizing the importance of education especially for women. A self-proclaimed life-long learner, Cathleen consistently pursues opportunities that allow her to advance her skills and knowledge.

She is an Account Executive at Safe Software. Specializing in data solutions for local and regional governments, and transportation, retail, and real estate industries, Cathleen helps organizations get the resources they need to solve their data challenges. With over 10 years of experience working in GIS, local government, and location analytics, she is experienced in project and data management.

Cathleen resides in Vancouver with her fiancé Chris; when not playing with her German Shepherd “Griffy” she is an avid hockey player, bookworm and a “with any luck this will grow” gardener.


Michele Holmes

Michele is Realtor in Sidney and is the owner of Holmes Realty a Real Estate Company with roots going back over 100 years in the Area.

Everything Michele does receives her special touch, which is permeated by her natural flair, her innate ability as a businesswoman, and her in depth knowledge of the real estate market on the Saanich Peninsula. She has been a REALTOR® for over 20 years and is consistently ranked in the top 5% of realtors by the Victoria Real Estate Board.

Michele prides herself on providing unsurpassed service & her reputation and many words of thanks from her clients testify to this. This service is enhanced by Michele’s hands on service and the additional help from her team. Michele in combination with her staff help make any real estate move a smooth, stress free, successful process.

Michele has always been the kind of person who is involved. She is currently an active member of the Sidney By The Sea Rotary Club, a member of the Nominees Executive Committee of the Victoria Real Estate Board and has been on many committees with the Victoria Real Estate Board as well as being a past director.

Michele Holmes has been a Board Member of the Lobstick Foundation for 3 years and brings her skills and experience as a business woman and her many years as an Educator/Teacher to assist Lobstick fulfill the Foundations mandate of providing financial assistance to women and girls who are looking to improve their educational skills and or to build their entrepreneurial experience.


Shelby Jorgensen

Shelby has been employed by Salvador Davis and Co. for the past 16 years.

During that time she has managed many estates and mastered the art of looking after elderly clients who can no longer look after their own affairs.

Shelby graduated for Parkland Secondary School. She completed the Legal Office Assistant program in 2005 at Camosun College and received the BC Notaries and Notary Foundation Award for academic excellence and leadership. She has also completed a personal income tax course with honours.

Her technical training and finely tuned interpersonal skills make her an excellent board member.

Shelby lives on the Saanich Peninsula with her husband Steve and is a mother of five and is also a proud grandmother.


Morgan Shaw

Born and raised on the Saanich Peninsula, Morgan is proud to call Vancouver Island home where she and her husband Todd are raising their twin 4-year-old daughters Natalie and Cal. 

Morgan is the current Executive Director for the Sidney Business Improvement Area Society (Sidney BIA). She provides organizational leadership to grow, strengthen, and promote the economic health and vitality of downtown Sidney by reinforcing its position as a hub for commerce, culture, and tourism.

Morgan enjoys being active within her community through volunteership. You will often find her onsite at many of Sidney’s iconic events and happenings. An active volunteer with Peninsula Celebrations Society for over 8 years, Morgan previously volunteered with the Greater Victoria Boys & Girls Club and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

Engaging her passion for education, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Morgan is committed to continuing to develop her knowledge base on a variety of subjects including economic development, reconciliation, and marketing through seminars and courses that relate to her career goals and endeavours. 


James Spack

James Spack has 40 years of business development, executive sales management, strategic planning, and corporate finance experience following an undergraduate degree from the University of Manitoba.

He started his business career with Equitable Life of Canada in Winnipeg, Manitoba before starting a long tenure in the information technology business working for Xerox in Edmonton and Vancouver, Apple Computer in Calgary and Vancouver, Sun Microsystems in Los Angeles and Netscape in Vancouver in 2000.

In 2001, he become a fulltime entrepreneur, starting Cheshire Ideas Inc., a Canadian consulting company that specializes in national and international business development. It is still operational today.

In 2013 he incorporated EcoSolve Natural Products Corporation and began developing and manufacturing a line of organic industrial and household cleaning products. With an objective to provide a safe, effective and organic cleaner to households and business, EcoSolve is sold through distributors in Canada nationally and internationally.

With an extensive sales, marketing and operational background, he has been able to organize and build companies from start up to full operational status. James combines his extensive business knowledge and experience with a network of global relationships to achieve continued success and growth.

He currently resides in Victoria, British Columbia, married to Mary Sayers, a Pilates studio owner. He has one daughter, Chelsea who lives in Victoria with grandson Avery.

He enjoys travelling when away from the day to day responsibilities of managing his companies and is an avid golfer with a membership overseas at The Royal Jersey Golf Course in the Channel Islands and locally at the Victoria Golf Club.
